Currently I am a P2 rated paraglider pilot. I currently live in an area where I cannot fly much, if at all, because the places to fly close by are limited and are also cliff launches which I do not feel comfortable launching from.I am interested in Paramotor, but I do not know how to even begin to get certified/learn to fly. Dragon strike puzzle rpg mod. I also do not know what the rules are for where I could fly. Would I have more freedom of where I could fly with a paramotor vs without one?Really just looking for pros and cons here and whether I should just wait until I am finished with school and hopefully move to a more reasonable place where there are more/better paragliding locations, or if I should look into paramotor.

Paragliding is great, but it doesn't give me the freedom I had originally thought I would have before I was trained because you are extremely restricted by finding good places to launch and ridge soar.Anyways, I'm just rambling now. Thoughts?EDIT: I currently have a Skywalk Mescal 4 paraglider which looks like it can be used with a motor.

Due to a website hosting problem, the web site is showing odd effects - people are getting other members' screens. The solution is either: If you come here, and see someone else's logged in screen, just hit the 'home' button on the top menu, when your own screen should appear OK.

So how much does the motor/fan cost? (I don't know all the correct terms for it.). Powered paragliding has the benefit of being much more accessible. There are caveats but when it comes down to it all you need is some open space that isn't controlled by an airport. I live in south Texas which has no hills at all and I fly multiple times a week from a field less than 12 miles from my house. I would fly closer but I live right next to a regional airport.

I would contact an instructor even though you are an experience PG pilot, it is different and the differences are the dangerous ones when you introduce a motor and prop on your back. Many of the PPG pilots I know did skydiving and PG and they would all tell you motor training is important.

You will fly through the training because you're a free flyer but the assumptions you have from PG can be detrimental to you. Hit up the Paramotor group on Facebook if you haven't already.
